Wedding in Big Bear Lake. My 'Happily Ever After' began at Golden Bear Cottages Resort. What a wonderful wedding we experienced. The big retreat cottage was just perfect for our reception. Your wonderful staff's suggestions for wedding planning and catering were great. Thank you also for your help with the minister and salon services. It was great to have salon right on the resort property. The setting was just perfect and the property was so clean. Thank you! As a service member with countless assignments and "business trips" that take me around the world, I made one promise to my wife and that was to give her the wedding of her dreams when we renewed our vows. The management and staff was far more than accommodating. Knowing our plans and desires, they provided valuable inject regarding the wedding ceremony and reception. Their involvement quickly grew in comparison to family participation. Thanks to their support and accommodation, my wife filled her eyes with tears because the event far exceeded her dreams.

As a family, the facilities were balanced to accommodate all ages. With a family of seven children ranging in ages 3 to 9 years old, we were never without activities or space to explore. The property motivated and set a family atmosphere of peace and relaxation for all, including us parents.

Without a doubt a recommended retreat, vacation or event location. Staff strives for you. Thank you and God bless, Don.

We Recently stayed at Golden Bear Cottages and had a fabulous time! Although We were there for an outdoor wedding, it's a great place for any stay! The staff really bent over backwards to accomadate us. Cabin #28 is great for family reunions/weddings and family bonding!(6 bedrooms, sleeps 21). We reserved many smaller cabins as well and enjoyed them just as much! I give it a 5 out of 5! Fabulous and excellent family resort for weddings and group retreats of any kind!

  • Terrific food, great atmosphere and hospitality.
  • Slow, but good service at the restuarant.
 The Evergreen Restaurant has fabulous food, however the service was a little slow because there were not enough waiters to be able to handle our large crowd gathering. But we would recommended them for wedding receptions as they were very considerate to the party, and our directions as to how the wedding plans are carried out. They helped plan our wedding … 'From Start-to-Finish', Flowers, Photographers and Pastor. The backdrop of the San Bernardino National Forest and Big Bear Lake for our wedding will create memories for generations to come! The restaurant is perched on a hill overlooking the lake. The Evergreen offerd the widest choices of wedding facilities in Big Bear. Our outdoor rustic romantic setting, our party's lodging and Spa services were provided by the wonderful people at the Golden Bear Cottages.
